  3. 1/2 cup Dry fruits chopped

  6. 2 tsp elaichi (Cardamom)powder

Steps to make to make Crispy Coconut Modak

  1. FOR DOUGH- Firstly,in a large mixing bowl add maida and ghee.
  2. Crumble and mix well making sure the mixer is moist.
  3. Add water and make a soft dough.
  4. Apply oil cover the dough and rest for 20 min.
  5. FOR STUFFING PREPARATION- In a bowl add fresh coconut powder.Now add powdered sugar.
  6. Add dry fruits(Almonds,kismis,pista) chopped.
  7. Now add elaichi powdered.
  8. Add 1 tsp ghee and mix well.
  9. FOR MODAK- knead the dough slightly and pinch a small ball and flatten.
  10. Roll to almost middium- thick circle.
  11. Now place mixture at the center and apply water to sides.
  12. Press in middle and seal the modak forming a bundle.
  13. Deep fry in middium hot oil.
  14. Allow it to fry in low flame.
  15. Fry until modak become golden brown and crispy.
  16. Drain off the modak over kitchen paper in order to get rid of excess oil.
  17. Now enjoy the modak for 4-5 days.
